What your child will do

In the coming months, your child will adapt to a whole new reality. Learning and volunteering will be an integral part of their daily life. In the program, your teen will work 35 to 40 hours a week for not-for-profit organizations that make a real difference in communities across Canada.

Katimavik’s partners work in a number of areas, such as social services, poverty reduction, sports and leisure, arts and culture, and the environment. The type of volunteer work varies but typically consists of manual or administrative work. No matter where your child will end up on their journey, their accomplishments will leave a lasting impact on their host community.

Don’t wait! Have them choose one of Katimavik’s thematic programs that best suits their needs and send them on their way.
