Global Youth Service Day (GYSD)

Each year, Katimavik takes an active role in Global Youth Service Day across  Canada. GYSD is the largest youth-led volunteering event in the world.

Katimavik participants who take part in Canada’s leading national youth volunteer service program are aware of the impact of their volunteer work in communities. This special day reinforces participants’ sense of belonging to Katimavik, their host communities, and their groups.
