In order to optimize our impact on communities, the selection of communities and partner organizations is based on very specific sectors of activity. Work partners and volunteer work benefits marginalized and vulnerable social groups.
Sectors of activity
The sectors of activity targeted by Katimavik are in large part the same as those of The United Nations Economic and Social Council which recognized Katimavik as a consultative member in 2007. Specifically, Katimavik works with community partner organizations engaged in:- Social services

Target groups
In order to contribute towards improving the social and economic wellbeing of your community, Katimavik works with organizations and on community projects that serve the vulnerable, disadvantaged or marginalized populations, such as:- People experiencing poverty

Volunteer work
Katimavik volunteers become active members of your organization through:- Group Leading/Facilitation of target groups
- Communications (media, public relations, fundraising, promotion)
- Help/Counselling with those belonging to a target group
- Office work (reception, computer work, clerical tasks, filing)
- Manual work (cooking, sorting clothes, renovation, maintenance)
