Katimavik offers all Canadians between the ages of 17 and 21 an equal opportunity to participate in the program. Volunteers come from every region of the country and represent Canada’s contemporary socio-cultural reality.

To participate in Katimavik you must:

• Be between 17 and 21 years of age at the start the program
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Be in good health (a medical examination form must be filled out by your doctor and verified by Katimavik before you are accepted)
• Meet the requirements of a criminal record check
