Selection criteria

All not-for-profit, public or parapublic organizations dedicated to environmental protection or sustainable development issues in Quebec are eligible to apply.

Each application is considered individually and in conjunction with other applications from the same municipality. Evaluation criteria are as follows:

• Proposed work would be a positive and stimulating experience for interns.
• There is a sufficient number of organizations or projects in the community to guarantee work for interns.
• Work allows interns to acquire personal and professional skills.
• The work is diverse.
• The organization’s personnel are available to manage interns.
• There are appropriate security measures on site.
• Proposed tasks would not take jobs away from the local workforce. 
• There are accommodations available for interns in the community.
• There is a regional network of postsecondary institutions that can provide intern recruitment opportunities.
