Youth Organisation to Rock Halifax with Benefit Concert

Katimavik Rocks! is a fundraiser from which all profits will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. The event features Jenn Grant, SHARE and Kim Wempe and is being held at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, Dalhousie Arts Centre on Saturday, May 15, from 8:00 to 10:30 pm. Katimavik is hoping to raise funds for the CCS while promoting the various Katimavik programs available to youth from the Atlantic region. “What better way to show local youth what Katimavik is about than to create an event for youth that embodies the basic principles of civic engagement and community impact that Katimavik aims to achieve” explains Anthony Loring, Communications and Development Manager for Katimavik Atlantic. “Youth will see first hand that volunteering with Katimavik is a great way to make a real difference in this country while acquiring the life experience needed to make an informed choice about one’s future.” Integral press release Back
