Katimavik has officially launched the Get a Life 2010-2011 recruitment campaign. Departure dates as well as detailed program information are now available in our website.

“Get a Life" is reaching out to Canadian youth to incite them to make a difference in communities across Canada by becoming a Katimavik volunteer. We offer youth the opportunity to increase their employability and gain valuable life skills as they get to know their country by working for several essential non-profit organizations across the country.

Katimavik covers the cost of:

• Transportation
• Housing
• Food and basic necessities
• Program activities
  

Katimavik volunteers also receive a 3 dollar a day living allowance as well as either a $500 perseverance bonus (six month programs) or a $1000 perseverance bonus (nine month programs) upon successful completion of the program
