Nicknamed “the hub of Nova Scotia” because in this province, all roads lead to Truro, the community comprises 13,000 mainly English-speaking residents. Located in Colchester County, on the banks of the Salmon River, at the mouth of Fundy Bay, the town is also a regional crossroads. The main industries are dairy farming and forestry. Also, the community hosts the Truro Tulip Festival, an event for the whole family that takes place each year in May.
