Located on the west coast, along the Northumberland strait, Tatamagouche is sure to delight nature lovers. You can watch more than 4,500 species of native and migratory birds and seals along one of the region’s many beaches. The city comes alive each autumn at Oktoberfest, held in September. Visitors will also enjoy the Fraser Culture Centre, where you can stand next to the life-size statue of Anna Swann, a giant who was 2.4 metres tall and performed in the famous P.T. Barnum Circus in the mid 19th century.  Tatamagouche’s population of 1,800 inhabitants is mainly English-speaking.
