100 Mile House is a small community located about half an hour south from Williams Lake, British Columbia. The area owes its somewhat original name to a logical reason: it used to be a refreshment stop during the gold rush era, and was located 100 miles from the travelers’ starting point in Lillooet. The area has excellent trails for cross-country skiing, and it is also surrounded by numerous lakes paving the way for great fishing. The English-speaking population consists of about 1,700 residents.
